Every runner is verified

Government-issued ID, right-to-work check, and address verification before any runner takes their first job. We don't accept just anyone. Runners are interviewed and trained.

Where do you deliver?

We're live in NW1, NW3 and NW8. Both your pickup AND drop-off address must be inside these three postcodes. We keep coverage tight so runners can move fast. Outside this area soon. Email hello@sendlie.co.uk with your postcode and we'll let you know when we expand.

What if no-one's home to receive the delivery?

You choose when you book. By default, we'll leave the item in a safe place (porch, behind a plant pot, with a trusted neighbour you've named) and send you a photo confirmation. If you'd rather we don't leave it unattended, tick "Hand to recipient only" at booking. We won't leave the item, and if no-one is home it'll be returned to the original pickup address for a £5.99 return fee. You'll get a payment link by email if the return happens. We don't re-attempt deliveries.

Can I send anything?

Almost. Anything that fits in a 40-litre bag and weighs under 15kg works. We can't carry items over £500 in value (jewellery, cash, electronics, watches), and we'll have to decline these. We also can't carry controlled medication without verification, animals, anything hazardous, or anything illegal. For fragile items, please use a sturdy box or padded bag, since our runners use bikes and scooters. Unsure? Email hello@sendlie.co.uk before booking.

How do I know my runner is trustworthy?

Every Sendlie runner passes a government ID check, right-to-work verification, and address confirmation before their first job. We share their first name and photo on WhatsApp before they head to your pickup. All customer communication is handled by the Sendlie team, so runners never have direct access to your phone number.

What if my item gets damaged or lost?

Our runners are vetted and follow strict handling instructions, so issues are rare. If something does go wrong, our ops team responds within 24 hours and works with you to make it right, including refunds and credit where appropriate. For higher-value items, we're rolling out dedicated cover later in 2026.

Can I become a runner?

Yes! We'll be onboarding runners across NW1, NW3, NW8 and surrounding areas from January 2026. You'll need the right to work in the UK, a vehicle (bicycle, e-bike, scooter, or car), and valid insurance. Email runners@sendlie.co.uk.

How is this different from Deliveroo or Uber Eats?

Food apps pick up from a restaurant menu. Sendlie picks up from your doorstep, your office reception, your mum's front gate. Whatever address you tell us. Items are always handed to the runner at the door, never collected from inside. No catalogue, no menu, no merchant. Just a runner following your short instruction.
